The calendar is full of events. But some events need special notice -- so look below for a description of some of the special upcoming events at Sacred Heart.  Of course, you know you need that ubiquitous permission slip!  Download one here.

 

On the first Friday night of every month, come down to the Sacred Heart parish hall for movie night. What are we watching?  Whatever strikes the teen's fancy -- so long as its PG-13 or lower.  And don't worry, although David keeps trying to get us to watch Casablanca or Citizen Kane, so far we've resisted.  So far ...  Meet at the parish hall at 7 pm sharp!

 

On the third Friday of every month, we've got an "off campus" social.  Bowling?  Check.  Bonfire Night?  Check.  Cruising around Salinas?  Uh, not without chaperones, what are you thinking!!  Got a good idea for what to do?  Let us know!!  Social nights go from 7-9:30 pm, and we generally meet at the off-site location.  Come to youth group for more details.

 

On Saturday, June 16, we're going to Carmel Beach for a bonfire.  Bring some hot dogs, soda, and a warm sweater!!  Please RSVP so we know how many drivers we need. We're meeting at Sacred Heart church at 5:30 pm.  We'll be back at 9:15 pm.

 

Join the youth group for a day of fun at Paramount's Great America on Monday, May 20, May 19.  Cost is $30, which includes transportation and park admission.  Free ticket for whoever goes on Drop Zone the most -- but you have to prove it.  Meet at the church parking lot at 8:15 am.  We'll be back at 10 pm.

 

Spirit West Coast is the premiere festival of Christian music west of the Mississippi.  Yeah, we know, Christian music?  Ever heard of Switchfoot?  Uh, yes they are a Christian band.  And, yes they are the main act.  We don't care what type of music you like -- contemporary, hip-hop, alternative, metal, and everything in between, you'll find it on one of the four stages at Spirit West Coast.  For more information, check out the concert website here.  We'll be going as a group on Saturday (one day tickets, plus transportation, is $50), but you are encouraged to get a three day pass and bring your friends!!
